To make your existing domain name work with your PhotoBiz site, you need to have your domain name servers pointed to our Data Center.  We are more than happy to do this for you, however we understand if you are more comfortable doing it yourself.  Below are instructions on how to change your name servers with Yahoo.

Note:  Changing your name servers does not transfer your domain registration.  You will need to keep your domain current with your current registrar.

IMPORTANT EMAIL NOTE:

  • If you have domain-based email (i.e. info@mydomain.com), please send your email provider's MX records to our Support Team BEFORE you change your name servers (the next step). If you change your name servers before we have your email's MX records set up on our servers, your email will go down. Your email will be restored within 2-24 hours after your MX records have been added to our servers.
  • If you don't have domain-based email and you would like it, we recommend PhotoBiz Mailbox. Click here for more information about Mailbox

  • Log into your Yahoo Small Business account.
  • Click on Domains.  If you do not see a Domains button, click on Manage My Services and then click on the Domain Manager.
  • From your Domains control panel, check to verify your domain is unlocked under Edit Domain Locking.  If your domain is locked you will need to unlock it.  Click on Edit Domain Locking, then click on Unlock Domain.
  • Click on Unlock Domain again to confirm.
  • Next, go to the top left of the page and click on the Domain Control Panel link to return to the domain control panel.
  • Click on Manage Advanced DNS Settings.
  • At the bottom of the Advanced DNS Settings, click on Change Name Servers.
  • Replace the entries in the first two boxes with the following name servers:

1) ns.rackspace.com
2) ns2.rackspace.com

  • If there are entries in the other boxes, delete them.
  • Click Submit.

It is a good idea to relock your domain name once your name servers have changed.  Simply click on Domain Control Panel to return to the control panel screen, and click on Edit Domain Locking to relock it.
